Euratom
Purpose The European Atomic Energy Community's nuclear research and training programme (complementary to Horizon Europe) supporting the development of safe power and non-power nuclear technologies and optimal radiation protection. The objectives of the Programme are a) the continued improvement of nuclear safety, security and radiation protection, including safe use of ionising radiation in both power and non-power applications; b) supporting research into fusion energy as a potential source of low-carbon electricity production and contributing to the implementation of the European fusion roadmap; and c) supporting the continued development of nuclear expertise and promoting innovation and competitiveness within the Community.
